Ranjit joined Bowen in 2005 as the firm’s first full-time hire and has over 25 years of M&A experience spanning advisory and operating roles. He has been part of every chapter of Bowen’s growth – from a two-person shop to a firm that has completed more than 150 transactions and surpassed $6 billion in transaction value across three growth tech sectors.

As COO & CFO, Ranjit runs the firm’s business operations while staying deeply embedded in deal execution. His role spans the full transaction lifecycle — from engagement through close — providing deal teams with hands-on support, institutional knowledge of firm and M&A precedents, and a steady hand when transactions get complicated.

Prior to Bowen, Ranjit worked in Corporate Development at Novell, where he evaluated, executed and integrated acquisitions as the company expanded its Linux and IT asset management software portfolio – giving him firsthand experience on the buy side that continues to inform how he advises sellers. Before Novell, he worked in the Communications Equipment group at Robertson Stephens. Ranjit received a bachelor’s of science degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is qualified as a general securities representative and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

In Ranjit’s spare moments when he’s not focused on closing transactions, you can find him attempting to entertain his wife and kids by performing Beatles songs on the guitar, running around Golden Gate Park, or cheering on (but more often bemoaning) the Washington Commanders.
