Max Rieley Rejoins Bowen as Vice President
Bowen is pleased to announce that Max Rieley has returned to the firm as a Vice President in our Sustainability Practice. Max will leverage Bowen’s deep sector expertise to drive M&A and strategic capital raises with high-growth companies in the agriculture, water & waste, and energy sectors.
Max originally joined Bowen in 2021, where he played a key role in establishing and expanding the firm’s Agriculture practice. After rising to Associate, Max took an educational leave to earn his Master’s degree in Plant Science from Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
“I firmly believe that effective investment banking requires a thorough understanding of the industries we serve – financial expertise alone is insufficient,” says Max. “My experience at Cornell, conducting hands-on research and working closely with both farmers and scientists, has significantly deepened my understanding of agricultural processes and positioned me to drive meaningful M&A activity in this critical sector.”
“Max’s unique pairing of transaction experience and deep technical knowledge is representative of one of Bowen’s core strengths,” says Paul Bowen, Founder & CEO of Bowen. “Finding the right opportunities goes far beyond the financial metrics. One must deeply understand cutting-edge technologies and solutions and how they disintermediate the underlying industry structure. Agriculture, and Agtech especially, is ripe for radical change.”
This addition reinforces Bowen’s commitment to providing specialized expertise in sustainability-focused sectors, where technical knowledge and industry relationships are essential for successful outcomes.
