Mobile World Congress Takeaways
1) Mobile World Congress is back. While not quite at pre-COVID levels, the estimated 90,000 attendees was a strong turn-out for the industry.
2) New technology is abundant. There was significant space devoted to new and emerging mobile technology companies. Governments are really working to support the mobile tech ecosystem. India, Korea, Israel and many other countries had large spaces in which local companies were exhibiting.
3) “Mobile” is not just about operators any more. Enterprise and private mobile are heating up. Note HPE’s announcement of its intention to acquire Athonet and Nokia’s renewed focus on enterprise customers.
